All in the day's work
R : Mummy, Kakak was very nice (pronounced naisssh) she helped me to do the helicopter game (an online game)
Mama : Oh really, thank you Kakak for helping Adik.
Q : It's ok Mommy, it's all in the day's work of a six years old.

Ever so sorry
Q mistakenly kicked R's football out of the backyard into the neighbour's house.
R cried.
Q : Mommy! I made a mistake! I kicked R's ball over the fence!
And then, turning to R, she said :
Q : Oh R, I'm sorry R, I'm ever so sorry for kicking the ball over...

Seriously?
Bought this at a certain Te**o;
for only £0.39.
Not 1 packet - but 5 packets!
YES, 5 packets for £0.39.
Seriously!
Could not believe my eyes at first when at the till it showed that figure.
So we ended buying 2 x 5 packets more.
In total £1.17 for 15 packets of the above.
Oh yeah, we miss home :D

An email from Tok Mama
an email from Tok Mama, she might need a blog too.
I thought of writing this in a book but I find myself postponing it many times. Do you remember this:
We were at Tok Chek's house and Tok Jah asked this question:
T.J. Who are your best friends in school?
Q. I have 4. Emma and (3 boys' names I can't recall)
T.J. Who is the handsomest?
Q. Nobody is handsomest. They don't have to be the hhandsomest! They have to be the smartest... (Ouch... coming from a 5 year old)
Or this advice you gave your Tok Mama the nite before you all left for UK again...
TM: I am going to miss you all. I'll be lonely.
Q. : No you must be brave.
TM: How?
Q. : To be brave, you must do 3 things: eat rice, eat fish, eat carrots
TM: I've eaten them but I'm still not brave...
Q. : then you must eat lots of them!
So, Premium (Qist in Arabic), I am still following your advice. This iPad really helps me to be brave especially because I can FaceTime with you all without much trouble. Syukur Alhamdulillah for technology.
Till next time, my hugs and kisses to you, Rayyan, Mama & Papa.
May Allah SWT always guide us in everything.
Lots & loads of love from Tok Mama & Tok Abah & Wan Chu

Her First, My First, Our First
I was browsing my older posts and suddenly read this one.
Well, the following post is long overdue.
Wanted to share how happy we were, and humbled really, with Q's determination and perseverance in attempting her first Ramadhan. SubhanAllah..
This was our first Ramadhan away from home. It was summer and the days were long. Sahur was in the wee hours of the morning, around 3.30a.m. while breaking fast was almost at 9p.m.
She was excited to wake up for sahur, but of course I had to feed her. She did not have much, but finished off with a piece of date and a glass of milk.
During the day, she was busy with games and playing as it was the summer holidays. Gave her an afternoon nap and then she woke up hungry. After much persuasion, she was willing to wait till Maghrib.
Alhamdulillah she managed the first day with very little difficulties.
She managed to complete 3 full days.
Syukur Alhamdulillah..

Impressed!
A few weeks back we lost an item sent through the country's national mailing service. The recipient did not receive the item we sent so we made a complain.
Lo and behold, in less than 3 weeks we were fully refunded. Price of the item plus the postage we had paid.
Impressive!
Anyone with experience(s) with our own mailing service back home? Have you ever got your sent item(s) lost and got a refund? How was it handled? Do share :D
